January 3, 2008 — This weekend marks the debut of a new general aviation radio show created by two members of EAA Chapter 193 in Jacksonville, Florida. Milford Shirley, chapter president, and chapter member Brian Kraut will host the first “Flighttime Radio Show” Saturday morning from 9-10 a.m. Eastern time from Jacksonville on WBOB AM 1320. The program will also be simulcast live on the Internet at www.1320wbob.com and archived at www.flighttimeradio.com.

08/09/07 - The deadline for completing the E-LSA registration, airworthiness inspection, and certification process to convert “fat” and two-place ultralight trainers to experimental light-sport aircraft (E-LSA) is January 31, 2008. The FAA set August 15, 2007 (next Wednesday) as a milestone for submitting the registration forms. The FAA established this milestone date out of concern that if everyone waited until “the last minute” to start the process, it could not handle the workload and then people would miss the deadline.
July 26, 2007 - WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is modifying the restricted airspace over the National Capital Region to make it safer, more secure and easier for pilots to navigate.
July 17, 2007 - More than two-dozen aircraft are expected to be on display at EAA AirVenture's Light-Sport Aircraft (LSA) Mall this year. Located just south of AeroShell Square, the LSA Mall is where you can see a wide variety of new, low-cost, LSA including factory-built and amateur-built experimental models as well as sport pilot-eligible standard category planes.
