Pilot Journey and Attendstar Team Up For Airshows

Pilot JourneyNew joint effort aims to gain more pilots from airshow attendees, assist aviation enthusiasts to find airshows

April 9 (NASHVILLE, Tenn.)-Pilot Journey, a long time promoter of first time flight lessons, has teamed up with AttendStar, an online airshow ticketing service, to increase the U.S. pilot population.

Starting with the 2011 airshow season, Pilot journey and AttendStar will begin a cross-promotional effort aiming to share the joy of learning to fly an airplane with nearly a million airshow attendees and interested persons.

"With an estimated yearly attendance of 10 to 12 million people at North American air shows, this is an avenue for increasing the pilot population, which needs more attention," said Gary Bradshaw, owner of Pilot Journey and AttendStar.

Already providing ticketing services for ten of the continent's largest airshows in 2011, AttendStar is poised for more. "We expect to do ticketing for 20 large airshows in 2011," said Bradshaw.

To bring people to airshows and increase audience numbers, Pilot Journey created Airshow Alerts, signup at www.pilotjourney.com Pilot Journey is also sending local flights in close proximity to the airshows the names of people in the region who have signed up for Airshow Alerts, at no charge. Airshow Alerts is also being advertised on 11 national websites and with Google AdWords and has a count of over 120,000 names in just two months.
