Nashville, TN / February 1, 2010 – In support of International Learn to Fly Day announced at AirVenture 2009 Pilot Journey has launched LearnToFlyDay.com a website that will list Learn to Fly Day events across the country. Pilot Journey is a web-based referral service that helps link students with flight schools. Each month 30,000 unique visitors connect to the website, PilotJourney.com.
Pilot Journey has been preparing for Learn to Fly Day since August, just weeks after the announcement was made at AirVenture 2009. “This event is critical to the future of our flight schools and General Aviation and has been a priority here at Pilot Journey the last 6 months,” Bradshaw added.
During the 2009 holiday shopping season Pilot Journey advertised on leading radio stations in markets such as Chicago, New York, Dallas and many more, increasing Discovery Flight sales to 153% over last year. Pilot Journey now hopes those buyers will attend a local Learn to Fly Day event and obtain the life changing benefits of being a pilot.
Pilot Journey is also working closely with Michael Coombs and the Flight for the Human Spirit project. The Flight for the Human Spirit is a natural fit for Learn to Fly Day because Michael is sharing the message, “It’s never to late to follow your dreams!” We all know that learning to fly remains a dream for millions of people. If you would like to participate in Learn to Fly Day visit http://learntoflyday.com or call the new Learn to Fly Day hotline at (800) 399-6144.
