Continental Motors Demonstrates FADEC Fuel Economy

Teledyne Continental MotorsJuly 21, 2009 – (Mobile, AL) –Teledyne Continental Motors (TCM) today announced that it achieved a peak fuel economy of 30.7 miles per gallon in a Full Authority Digital Electronic Controlled (FADEC) piston engine aircraft. The fuel economy demonstration flight consisted of two legs of 339.3 nautical miles each.

Arlington, WASHINGTON / July 10, 2009 - Flight Design announced that its Distributor, Flight Design Mid-Atlantic, has delivered a new CTLS, marking the number 300 in total units shipped to customers. The airplane (N74KG) was picked up at Lancaster Airports in Lititz, Pennsylvania by customer Kenneth D. Griffin of Southampton, New Jersey on Wednesday July 8th. This milestone delivery was announced today while Flight Design USA was displaying at the EAA Arlington fly in Washington.
