Logs First Flying Boat Delivery in the USA
Davenport FL / March 3, 2008 - SeaMax USA is pleased to announce its new SLSA flying boat has delivered the first customer airplane to an American pilot. SeaMax USA (http://seamaxusa.com/seamax-usa.phtml) believes this is the first flying boat delivery to a retail customer certified under the ASTM standards.
SeaMax USA also reported that the amphibious aircraft is now in stock certified as a Special Light-Sport Aircraft (SLSA) seaplane with electric retractable landing gear. The Brazilian design has 73 aircraft flying around the world but is available in the United States for the first time as the 2008 float-flying season arrives.
"We have brand-new aircraft in stock and more on order," reported SeaMax USA director, Carlos Bessa. "We will have aircraft for pilots wishing to enjoy float flying this summer." But, he added, "Since SeaMax is amphibious, you can operate as an efficient land plane as well." SeaMax stalls at only 36 mph (with electric flaps), can cruise 115 mph using less than 4 gph of premium auto gas or 100LL fuel, climbs 1,000 fpm, lifts off water in 350 feet, and handles lightly throughout its range.
Bessa invited the public and members of the working press to their Sun 'n Fun paid exhibit or the 2008 Sun 'n Fun LSA Mall. Even sooner, view the SeaMax at the LSA Mall of the Florida Aviation Expo (March 15-16, 2008 at the Punta Gorda -PGD- airport).
SeaMax USA represents the SeaMax amphibious flying boat aircraft designed and built by AirMax of Brazil. SeaMax is certified to ASTM standards as a Special Light-Sport Aircraft.
