Bostik Industries Introduces Urban Air Lambada

First Motorglider Certified Under ASTM Standards

Melbourne FL / October 17, 2007 - Bostik Industries, LLC announced that it has been appointed the national distributor for Urban Air of the Czech Republic. The Florida-based company is starting with the Lambada motorglider and confirmed they have received Special Light-Sport Aircraft (SLSA) approval for the first 2008 aircraft in the country.

"Lambada is the first motorglider to gain FAA airworthiness under the ASTM standards for LSA Gliders," reported Josef Bostik, manager of the importing company. "This is a sweet handling airplane that doubles as a powered sailplane or a cross-country Light-Sport Aircraft."

Lambada UFM 13 has a shoulder-wing construction supporting a 49.0-foot span carbon and glass fiber wing capable of 30:1 glide performance. Its 80-hp Rotax 912 engine propels a cruise at 100 mph for 800 nautical miles on 26.4 gallons of fuel held in twin wing tanks.

Bostik Industries will equip every Lambada UFM 13 with a Magnum Ballistic Parachute(tm), a folding prop, stainless steel exhaust, and tinted canopy. The long wings of Lambada detach easily with automatic control line connections. Lambada weighs only 628 pounds empty, giving the aircraft 492 pounds of payload with full fuel on board.

Bostik Industries, LLC is the sole U.S. importer of the Urban Air Lambada UFM 13. The company handles eastern U.S. distribution from its Melbourne, Florida headquarters. Western U.S. distribution is handled by Flight Design West. To learn more about Lambada call Bostik Industries at 321-960-3438 or send email to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
