May 14, 2007 -  CubCrafters “Proof of Concept” CARBON CUB was the undisputed highlight of the May Day Fly-In at Valdez, AK this past weekend.

Competing in the short take and landing contest, the lightweight prototype took off in a near impossible distance of only 19 feet (!!!) and rounded out the day with a landing distance of only 53 feet. We are continuing to evaluate the performance of the airplane and the design and engineering upgrades that are being tested in it. Shortly, we will be announcing our forward plans for the CARBON CUB project…stay tuned!
