April 25, 2008 - Thanks to scheduling months in advance, the very first press conference of Sun 'n Fun 2008 was presented by Flight Design. A breakfast meal was served to media persons from several magazines, online news outlets, local press, and Sun 'n Fun press officials.

Tom Peghiny is president of Flight Design USA, the very successful importer of the CTSW and CTLS. He spoke first about his recent visit to Ukraine, where he participated in the recent ISO 9001 audit. Tom also congratulated Flight Design engineers and other Ukraine and German staff members on their achievements with the new CTLS model that was introduced worldwide at the Sebring LSA Expo in January 2008.
Tom invited members of the press to visit Flight Design USA's impressive new display space for Sun 'n Fun 2008 with a larger tent and private meeting area. In addition, Flight Design USA had a premium location in the LSA Mall, which greeted 80-90% of all Sun 'n Fun visitors immediately inside the main entrance.
As CEO of Flight Design, Matthias spoke to the press in more detail about the TUV audit that resulted in the ISO 9001 approval. When added to the German certification audits, ASTM audits by LAMA, plus regular factory internal audits, this latest approval shows the concern Flight Design has for its quality process and how this creates more satisfied customers.
Matthias also referenced the continuing leadership of the CT series by speaking about the 20% market share that Flight Design has maintained even while the market has become increasingly crowded by 54 companies and 76 Special Light-Sport Aircraft models.
Following the press conference, media officials had opportunities for interviews with Matthias Betsch, Tom Peghiny, and Flight Design Technical Director, Oliver Reinhardt.
