Remos Aircraft Honors Cessna Skycatcher Deposits

September 27, 2007 - Scotts Valley, CA – REMOS Aircraft has announced a program that is effective immediately to entice pilots who have made deposits on a Cessna SkyCatcher to switch over to REMOS. Anyone who has placed an order for a SkyCatcher can expect a $5,000 reduction in the base price for a new REMOS G-3 along with delivery within three months, instead of the two to three years it will probably take to get a SkyCatcher.

The REMOS G-3 is the airplane that Cessna should have announced at AirVentureÉand the G-3 is available today, said Michael Meirer, CEO of REMOS Aircraft Inc. In addition to getting an aircraft years sooner, the difference in performance numbers makes the REMOS a vastly superior choice. Consider rate of climb: 1,300 fpm in REMOS, only 890 fpm in the Cessna; 330 takeoff roll in the G3, 770 in the C-162. The REMOS G-3 has a range of 644 miles, the SkyCatcher offers only 390. But by far, the most important difference is useful load. REMOS carries 695 pounds and the SkyCatcher will only haul 490 pounds. If you deduct 120 pounds for 20 gallons of avgas, youre down to 370 pounds, which means two grown men will probably overgross the aircraft. Theres nothing left for baggage. In a sense, REMOS is making an offer pilots cant afford to refuse.

Cessna has indicated they may be manufacturing the SkyCatcher offshore. REMOS is produced in Germany, a country famous for its efficiency, modern technology and precision in manufacturing.

The extensive use of carbon fiber and technology that is decades ahead of Cessnas design criteria, results in a lighter, stronger and more versatile airframe, said Frank Doering, Managing Director of REMOS in Germany. When you couple that with the new tooling and production methods used in Germany today, there is no doubt about which aircraft will provide the LSA pilot with the greater return on his or her investment. With the consolidation of REMOS production in our new factory in Germany, we believe that anyone who takes the time to carefully compare Cessna with the REMOS G3 will not hesitate to make the switch and start their LSA flying a whole lot earlier.

REMOS will continue the offer to transfer Cessna deposit credits through the rest of 2007. For further information on the REMOS G-3 visit www.remos.com or in the USA call 888.838.9879.
