SULPHUR SPRINGS, TEXAS, JULY 22, 2007 -- Texas Sport Aircraft Company announced today the 2007 schedule for the company's KwikBild™ builder's assistance program. KwikBild™ offers Texas Sport customers a choice of 14- or 21-day programs plus paint and instrument panel options.
The advantages of owners building their aircraft under the KwikBild™ program are numerous. First and foremost is that Texas Sport personnel will be available to guide the builder through the entire fabrication process. The build process is intensive. However, amid the activity at the Texas Sport facility, builders will feel at home and the pace will be such that all required assembly procedures move along briskly with other Texas Sport aircraft under construction. Building a Texas Sport Aircraft is an exciting endeavor and this is evident in the factory setting.
The 21-day KwikBild™ program adds another week following fuselage assembly, covering and paint when the builder attaches wings and control surfaces, installs the instrument panel and completes all firewall forward work. This work is also done under the guidance of expert staff.
The Texas Sport is derivative of the American Legend Cub and is intended for amateur aircraft builders. Complete kits of the Texas Sport are now in stock and ready for customer deliveries.
The Texas Sport kit and the KwikBild™ program allow amateur builders to complete their own aircraft in as little as 21 days with their choice of features and options. The Texas Sport is a factory-new aircraft kit. It can be certified to 1,600 lbs. gross as an experimental, amateur-built aircraft, or can be certified to 1,320 lbs. and flown with Sport Pilot priveleges. A complete kit will also be on display during AirVenture Oshkosh 2007 in Booth #222. The joys of recreational flying are expanded by the availability of the Texas Sport.
