4/11/2008 Yakima, WA - CubCrafters announces the certification of Baumann 1500 Straight Floats for the SPORT CUB. The fully-equipped test plane had an empty weight of 983 lbs. At gross weight, this puddle jumper could takeoff from the water in less than 8 seconds!

Lakeland, Fla., April 8, 2008 – Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, continues to test fly its Model 162 SkyCatcher prototype and soon will complete production of the second aircraft in the light sport aircraft’s flight test program.
SULPHUR SPRINGS, TEXAS, APRIL 8, 2008 -- Texas Sport Aircraft Company announced today the completion of the first-sold Texas Sport aircraft kit. This aircraft will be flown to Lakeland, Florida, and put on display in the American Legend Aircraft Company booth at Sun 'n Fun Fly-In from April 8th through April 13th. The Texas Sport is an amateur-built derivative of the American Legend Cub, the #1 selling American-made light-sport aircraft.
Sebring, FLORIDA / April 2, 2008 - Rotax aircraft engine expert Dean Vogel, of Aero Technical Institute (ATI) will make a presentation at the Light Sport forums from 11 to 12 AM on Tuesday April 8th in tent #11.
