Prestige Aircraft Company LLC started as an idea only to import Light Sport Aircraft for distribution in North America.
Storm Aircraft Srl of Sabaudia, Italy was the manufacturer chosen to supply the aircraft.
Throughout the long process of establishing the groundwork to import aircraft for distribution, the realization came that the only way to have enough aircraft in the U.S. to sell was to build the planes here.
The proposal was defined and both companies found it to be mutually beneficial. The opportunity that Prestige Aircraft Company LLC viewed was to have an adequate number of aircraft available for distribution, but also the opportunity to increase those numbers as well as providing a new industry for the Jackson community.
Storm Aircraft Srl could see the opportunity to increase their market and could expand parts manufacturing due to that market.
A winning combination had been formed. Storm Aircraft Srl gave an exclusive 30 year license to Prestige Aircraft Company LLC to manufacture and/or import all existing and future models of Light-Sport Aircraft or FAR23 designed by Storm Aircraft Srl.
Production of the first FAA SLSA certified aircraft, the Storm Rally SLSA is underway with a second model, the low wing Storm Century LSA, to be added in the spring of 2007 and coming in the future a third model aircraft, a true amphibian seaplane the SeaStorm LSA.
